Dependent on your concern. You can have single sessions, but a course may be beneficial. This will be assed and discussed with you prior to treatment

Procedure time
30 to 40 minutes if treating the face. We usually recommend using an anaesthetic cream on the skin for 30 to 60 minutes prior to treatment, which would be applied in-clinic by one of our practitioners to ensure your comfort

Final results
Dependent on your concerns. You can expect to start seeing changes from approximately 4 days post treatment
Recovery time
Some patients will look flushed, with mild swelling immediately after treatment which usually subsides within 48 hours. A few days after the treatment your skin may start to feel a little rough, often described as ‘sandpapery’; this is usually only noticed by the patient and not by others and usually lasts no more than three to seven days. If you are specifically treating pigmentation, you may notice your skin takes on a bronzed appearance for a few days post treatment. Resume usual activities
Most patients find that they can continue their usual activities after any swelling has subsided with the use of a tinted moisturiser. Full aftercare will be provided prior to treatment
Discomfort level
Mild with the use of local anaesthetic cream. Patients liken the sensation to warm scratches
Duration of results
The results from the Fraxel treatment are progressive and accumulative; as this is not an ablative laser, most patients require more than one treatment. Patients notice results during the course of treatment however further improvement may be seen a few months following treatment as the deeper layers of skin continue to repair and heal
